Eli, I'm not ready to have a 2 year old, but I do love all of the great things you are learning each day. You are very reserved in front of new people, but are so funny around family. Each day I look at you and think how much longer your legs look! I pray you never lose your sweet spirit or big heart. We love you, sweet boy!
News headlines: Dick Clark and Donna Summer pass away, Phillip Phillips wins American Idol, Andrew Luck of Stanford is the number one pick in the NFL draft (to the Colts), Facebook goes public with its IPO
Milestones: Your mimic words like crazy, even things we don't think you're listening too, you know what certain words mean when you hear them - so we've had to start spelling things like "O-U-T", "J-U-I-C-E", and "S-H-O-E-S" (which you associate with going O-U-T), you have known the basic body parts (eye, ear, nose, mouth, etc.) for awhile, but are now great at finding your back, elbow, neck, and knees also!
Measurements: Size 4 diapers, mostly size 24 mths clothes (18 mths in shorts), size 6 shoes, 30"+ tall
Favorite toys/games: You LOVE the Toy Story app on Nana's iPad. Mommy had to download some puzzle/read along books on her iPhone because you're so obsessed - Elmo and Toy Story are your favorites. You throw a fit if you have to watch Winnie the Pooh, haha! When you and Daddy go outside, you love to get the small garden shovel and help do yard work. You also love your Radio Flyer red wagon.
Words: Several, and if you can't say it, you sure give it a good go!
Challenges: Learning to listen to Mommy and Daddy and not throw a fit when it's time to come in from outside : ) Otherwise, you are very easy going!
Our Days:
You sleep until about 7 and we get you up. Daddy usually gets you
dressed while Mommy finishes getting ready. Mommy takes you to school
and then picks you up in the afternoons. We play and unwind from our
day, and eat supper.
Bedtime is about 8:30. You get a bath about every other day, unless
you're just too dirty from the day. We're looking forward to summer though and having a more laid back schedule.
Funny/Favorite Moments
Mommy's Favorite: Watching you grow and change each day...also watching you hug other kids, it's absolutely adorable!
Daddy's Favorite:When you and Daddy chase each other and run around in circles!
