Our weather this winter has been crazy to say the least. We've had more cold weather than we have in several years, but it doesn't stay cold. It's very temperamental, up and down. I never seem to know what to wear. Winter storm Leon (am I the only one that thinks it's weird that winter storms are now named?!) came through and dumped a bunch of ice and snow all over the south.
We had a half day at school on Tuesday, cancelled on Wednesday, and were supposed to have a delayed start on Thursday, but it got cancelled due to the conditions of the roads. I know we'll have to have some make-up days somewhere along the way, but these extra days at home with my boys sure have been nice.
Warning! Picture Overload!
Eli found it hilarious that Aubie car can't see!
Our snowy yard.
My knock-out rose bushes were covered in thick ice!
Wesley bought these sleds several years ago in Colorado. I think this is the third time we've been able to use them! : )
Eli LOVED sledding down the hill!
You can't tell, but he would race up that hill after each time he went down!
Making snow angels!
I had Wesley write the date in the snow so I could take Eli's picture by it. He asked me what the date was, and I responded with, "the 29th." Well, he wrote the date as 2/29! : ) Which is why the date looks kind of funny...had to cross out that 2 and put a 1.
Next up was a snowball fight. Eli had trouble, so Daddy had to help Eli make his snowballs.
Duck!
Want to build a snowman (I kept singing that song from the Frozen movie!)?
This was as good as our snowman got! The snow was so powdery, we had a hard time with our snowman building.
Love that little red nose!
Sledding one more time...this time on Daddy's back! Both boys were laughing! : )
The last time it snowed like this I was pregnant with Eli. Today has been such a fun, beautiful, and memorable day!
Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and glory are in his sanctuary.
Psalm 96:6
