Landy, in your brother's eight months blog post, I talked about how Eli was our "diamonds and feathers" (read here to catch up). You, too, are more diamonds and feathers in our lives. The Lord has so richly blessed our lives through you. We all three love you more than we ever thought possible. I can't believe we're inching our way closer to one year. I would so love to freeze time, and just soak you in, but time marches on, and we're grateful for a happy, healthy baby. We are thankful for every smile you give us and are looking forward to this holiday season with you, Landon boy!
Firsts: bites of real food (cream corn, mashed potatoes, applesauce, yogurt, grits, soft pizza crust, and more!), Halloween, Peanut Festival, attempted baby dedication but then you went and got sick so we cancelled the morning of.
News headlines: Giants win the World Series, Auburn is ranked #3 in the nation, the spread of Ebola, gas is about $2.67/gallon
Milestones: you are crawling, pulling up and standing for short periods of time, babbling like crazy, and you have 7-8 teeth! You are in Babies II at school.
Measurements: Size 3 diapers, mostly 9 mth clothing but still some 6 and 6-9 mth clothing, about 17 lbs
Like Mommy: You both are car nappers.
Like Daddy: You are both such light sleepers.
Like Eli: Anytime the backdoor opens you make a mad dash to get outside.
Favorite Toys: Out of ALL the toys (and it's a lot) that you have, your most favorite things to play with are straws and spoons! You also like trying to eat books and paper (yikes!).
Sounds: You are a babbling machine! You say "mama", "dada", "nana" (but not necessarily directed at the right people)
Challenges: You are a horrible sleeper. I'm so tired.
Our Days: You're up around 5:45 each day. You eat before school. You and brother are at school by 7:05. You take two 7 oz bottles at daycare and eat a jar of baby food while there. You usually have about an hour nap in the mornings and then a good 2-2.5 hr nap after lunch. You've also begun to eat some food at school (yogurt, applesauce, beans, etc). You eat again around 5:00 and have another jar of food plus whatever table food you can at dinner. You get one 30-45 minute nap after school before bed. You eat one more time at bedtime. Lately you've been waking up at least twice to eat during the night too.
Funny/Favorite Moments:
Mommy's favorite-listening to you "talk"!
Daddy's favorite-watching you crawl (right foot, left leg)
Nicknames: Landy, Landy-cakes (or Landon-cakes as Eli says)
Upcoming Events: Thanksgiving, your first Iron Bowl
Watch me grow!
