I'm so behind on posting (story of my life), but I wanted to do this post while all of these things are fresh on my mind. Sooo, here is my Summer 2013 edition of "Eli Lately":
*From sotter camp, Eli frequently says "Alright, Captain!" instead of "Aye, aye, Captain!"
*Eli has learned part of the song, "Shake Your Booty" and will sing that chorus while he shakes his little tooshie. So cute.
*Sometimes when you ask Eli a question that he doesn't know the answer to, he replies with, "I don't know either!" It's so stinking cute the way he says it.
*My baby is becoming SO independent! He goes to the potty by himself, and then announces "I did it!" or ...even worse...announces how many boo-boos he had and how big they were (even when we are at a restaurant)! He usually gives high fives after going potty. He also gets his own crayons and coloring book when he wants to color, picks out his own clothes, etc.
*Eli only wants Mommy to get him out of his carseat. He will scream if Daddy tries to do it, and then cover the buckles with his hands.
*Eli has also become quite bossy. When we sit down at the table, no matter if it's just the three of us or several others, he tries to assign seats to everyone. Eli has also become much more independent about singing the blessing by himself at dinner time.
*Eli has LOVED swimming this summer! He has even learned to float on his back (while wearing his Puddle Jumper, of course).
*Eli loves to try to get sips of Mommy or Daddy's "teef" (sweet tea).
*Eli is very interested in what everything means. He's learned red means "stop", yellow means "be pareful" and green means "go". Eli asked my mom (Nana) what pink means. All Mom (who works in mammo) could think to say was "Get your mammogram!" Eli thinks it is HILARIOUS when we say this. He puts his sweet little hand over his mouth and dissolves in giggles. He also tells us that pink says "Get your NANAgram!", which is probably better than my 2 yr old telling people to get their mammograms!

*Eli told Katie tonight, "I will cut you!" BAHAHA. No words....
*Eli loves driving by fire stations. We have to drive by very slowly with the windows down so that we can see the trucks. It's also VERY disturbing if the door is down and we can't see the trucks.

*Eli calls Uncle Lamar, Unc Mar, or Unc Morrow - which cracks me up.
*Eli is looking SO TALL to me here lately. Check out these long legs.
