Thanksgiving Road Trip

Thanksgiving marked Eli's first serious road trip.

Check him out; he was so excited about it! Don't let that smile and those bright eyes fool you. Eli was asleep by the time we hit the highway - and slept the whole way to Elba!

Eli's view of all the stuff in the back. Somebody told me it doesn't matter if you're going away for one night or six; you still bring the same amount of stuff (which would be EVERYTHING)!

The first stop on our road trip was to Elba. Here's Eli and one of his great-grandmothers.

Eli & Ginny on Thanksgiving morning. His little onesie said, "I'm stuffed!" and he wore his orange/yellow cowboy boot socks. He was so stinkin' cute! : )

We ate our first Thanksgiving meal at the barn. There was SO MUCH good food! I had bbq, since I knew we'd be having turkey and dressing for dinner, but there was a little bit of everything.

After that we did some porch rocking. Eli was OUT!

Who can blame him with a view like this? So peaceful!

Eli loves his Aunt Katie!

Round numero dos took place about an hour away at my grandparents house. Eli did alright in the car; he squalled most of the way to my parents house. He was HUNGRY, so we made a pit stop in Dothan to feed the boy! : )

Eli met so many people on Thanksgiving day. He was pretty good, considering it was a long day and he got passed around an awful lot!

Eli enjoyed meeting Aunt Paige and Molly.

After dinner at grandmama & granddaddy's house we spent the night in Dothan at Nana & Puddin's house. Eli got some chill time before we headed to bed. We enjoyed getting to spend some quality time with Uncle Zach; we don't see him much!

More to come on the next leg of our road trip....

  1. Looks like a good Thanksgiving! Funny, my best friend's family lives in Elba and she was there this past weekend too!
