Three Months Old

Slow down, time! I can't believe my baby boy is three months already. We are loving every minute with our Eli. I don't know how my life was ever complete without him. He sure does make life more fun! : )

Eli, you've had such a busy month. Daddy and I are loving doing all these new things with you!

Firsts: Halloween/trick or treating/Fall Festival and Thanksgiving (today!), Auburn football game, day of school, playing hooky from school (mommy was sick; we both stayed home), set of shots at the doctor, overnight trip out of town (Elba/Dothan), voting with Mommy, going to church.

News headlines: San Francisco Giants win the World Series, Cam Newton is being investigated by the NCAA because of allegations between an "agent" and Mississippi State, Auburn wins the SEC West, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 came out (Mommy LOVES HP), Prince William and Kate Middleton announce their engagement (and that they will marry in April).

Milestones: Vaccinations, Going to daycare, overnight road trip, your head/neck/back has gotten soo strong, baby dedication at church

Measurements: At the doctor you were in the 88th percentile in both height and weight: 15 lbs and 25 inches long. You've grown so much this month1

Like Mommy: You love your sleep!

Like Daddy: You and Daddy have very similar 'happy, easy going, little bothers you' personalities.

Challenges: (It's not so much a challenge for you, but it is for mommy)-Getting up EARLY to have time to get myself ready, get you ready, get you to school, and get herself to school. My goal is to be in my classroom by 7:15. That hasn't happened too often.

Our Days: They begin at 5am when mommy gets up (unless Eli decides he wants to get up earlier-which happens about once a week!), you get up a little after 6, we head to daycare around 7, you get picked up from daycare by 4, we go home and snuggle together, you play on your playmat (which you LOVE!), we eat supper, and are headed upstairs to bed by 9 p.m.

Funny/Favorite Moments: All of the moments are my favorites - You love your playmat, you like to 'ride your bike' (kick your legs very quickly), you've begun to hit and even grab the toys that hang down from your playmat, you're becoming more and more talkative. You love Christmas songs. If you're fussy, you usually stop crying when we begin to sing Christmas songs.

Nicknames: Squirmy or Squirmy Wormy, Squirms, or Sir Squirms - A - Lot, Drool Monkey, Little Man, Dude, and Buddy.

Upcoming Events: Going to Birmingham and meeting lots of new faces (Pettys and Allisons), Christmas, another visit from Aunt Caitlin and Uncle Clark!

Eli, we can't believe how much you've grown! : )
