Day 2 (Sunday) we made good use of our Park Hopper passes and hit Hollywood Studios in the morning, and Epcot in the evening.
We originally did not intend to go to Hollywood Studios, but some friends of ours who have kids just older and just younger than Eli went over Spring Break and said that their girls loved it.
Hollywood Studios has great Pixar and Disney Jr. sections of the park, which is right up Eli's alley!
We went to the Disney Jr. Live performance. Eli was completely engrossed the whole time - Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Jake, Sofia, and Doc McStuffins are some of his most favorites!
This was in line to meet Jake (from Jake and the Neverland Pirates). Eli was SO, SOO excited to meet Handy Manny and Jake that he kept jumping for joy (literally) and kept giving his Daddy huge hugs!
Streets of America in Hollywood Studios
Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground...Eli loves him a good playground!
Singing in the rain!
Cars pyro show, Eli, Daddy, and Puddin' all LOVED this show! : )
Toy Story is Eli's FAVORITE movie (Toy Story 3 to be specific). It was about a 30-40 minute wait to meet Buzz and Woody, but the wait was so interactive with fun props/photo ops, that it went by pretty quickly!
Nana fears The Claw....
Eli was mesmerized by Buzz and Woody. He did MUCH better with these characters than he did Micky Mouse and Goofy on the first day, but he still preferred they stay at a safe distance. At one point Woody tried to grab Eli for a picture; Eli was NOT having that!
After spending all morning at Hollywood Studios, we headed back to the room to rest and take naps and then went to Epcot after dinner. Epcot was really not crowded at all, which was nice!
Last time we came to Epcot, Eli loved the Nemo ride, and this time wasn't any exception. We ended up riding this two or three times.
Nana's signature pose.
After seeing so much promo stuff for Monsters University, Eli has become obsessed with all things "Monsters"...well played Disney. I'm sure we'll be headed to the movies to catch this flick!
We had planned to stay at Epcot until it closes and catch the laser/fireworks show, however about ten minutes before the show the lightning got REALLY intense, so we decided to leave. Nana and I hightailed it to the car (like a boss, as Nana would say), and somehow passed the car. Thankfully my husband whistled and caught our attention, because my dad was going to let us keep right on running! : )
Even though we missed the fireworks, we ended up heading to Downtown Disney for ice cream and just to walk around. It was a great ending to a very full day!
