Once again I am late getting this posted! Oh well, life happens...better late than never! : )
Squirmy bug,
You are developing SO much personality! You make us laugh every day and we love you so,so much! I don't know how it happens, but each day we love you more than the last. You are the sweetest boy and I pray that you never lose that-that you love others this much when you are a grown man too. We love you Eli!
-Mommy and Daddy
Firsts: I can't think of any event that is a first for you this month!
News headlines: tornado comes through the Auburn area, the Saint Louis Cardinals win the World Series, NBA lockout continues (but a deal is close), Penn St. shake up-Joe Pa, among others, is fired
Milestones: You have so many tricks! You know where your eyes, ears, nose, and mouth are. You can find your "button". You have a 'monster' face and make your whole body shake! You can spin in circles, march, walk on your knees. You throw things away in the trash can if we ask you to.
Measurements: Size 3 diapers, size 12 and some 18 month clothes, about 23 lbs and 29 inches
Like Mommy: You are shy around new people and you love books!
Like Daddy: You love music and playing outside.!
Favorite Toys/Games: A singing toy we leave for you in the car (something you took from Nana's house-it sings nursery rhymes, you also LOVE to play peek-a-boo
Sounds: Wow, you have expanded your vocabulary this month! You can say "momma", "da-da", "bye bye", "doos (juice), "sue" (shoe), "baaa" (ball), "buuu" (book), eye, go, done, "dess" (yes), yeh. You still say a lot of jibberish, but things are becoming much more clear. You have even said your name a few times - "E-I"
Challenges: Throwing fits-you bang your head on the ground if you get very upset. You really like to do things on your own-feed yourself
Our Days:. You are sleeping well through the night, for the most part. Mommy wakes you up at 6:30. You get dropped off at school around 7:30 and picked up just after 4. You take a 2 1/2 hr nap at school, and usually another hour nap when we get home. We play hard in the afternoons. After supper you get a bath and we try to have you to bed by 8:30-9. You are down to nursing twice a day (morning and night..although sometimes we still do 3 times), otherwise you drink 2% (we've switched from whole) milk or apple juice/water. You eat whatever we do.
Funny/Favorite Moments
Mommy's Favorite: Being home with you 5 days in a row over Thanksgiving
Daddy's Favorite: You know how to make a fish face! When we make it to you, you do it back and then lean your forehead in for a kiss!
Nicknames: any variation of Squirmy (Squirms, Squirmy Bug, and more), Doodle or Doodle Bug, Daddy calls you Big Man, Mommy calls you Little Man
